Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in the price?

4 or 2 days of lessons of your choice. In practice, we are able to do one block of lessons per day among 6 blocks in the PROGRAM. It also depends on your speed. But still, if there are elements you like, you can always learn how to make them.

Transfers to and from the venue on the first and last day of the campus (to and from the Cesano di Roma train station) Necessary art materials. All meals and drinks (breakfasts, lunches, snacks, fruits, tea, wine)

What is NOT included in the price?

Accommodation. Flights, transportation costs (except for our free transfers on the first and last day).

Transfers/How to get to Art campus?

If you are attending our Art campus and will be staying with us for the duration, we offer a free group transfer to and from the venue departing from the Cesano train station in Rome. The drive from the station to the venue takes about 10 minutes.

Our transfer will pick you up on the first day of the workshop from Cesano train station in Rome, you need to confirm in advance if you are planning to take our transfer. Our transfer from the campus location will take you back on the last day of the workshop to the Cesano train station in Rome Arrival time and departure to be agreed

 

Which airport should I fly to?

Rome Leonardo Da Vinci - Fiumicino Airport.

Take the train from Fiumicino Airport (Leonardo Da Vinci International Airport) to Rome Trastevere Station (8€) it takes about 35 minutes and departs every 15 minutes. From Trastevere station, take the train to Viterbo or Bracciano with a stop in Cesano di Roma. Make sure before you get on that the stop is written in the tablo. 

Important notes when traveling by train:
1) You can buy your urban metro ticket (€1.50) in the tobacconists, newspaper kiosk or the €1 ticket in the train station machines
2) Be sure to stamp (validate) your train ticket before boarding the train, using one of the green and white stamp machines you'll see on the walls of each station.

 

3) Keep in mind that trains run every 15 minutes, so make sure you search for the best timetable on google maps.

How do I book and pay?

To book one of our Art campuses, you need to pay a deposit of 150€. PAY DEPOSIT

What happens if I have to cancel my booking?

The deposit, or the entire amount paid in advance, is non-refundable, but can be transferred to the dates of subsequent courses

What happens if the Art campus I booked is cancelled?

If a course is cancelled by the Haute Couture School of Embroidery, the full payment (including the deposit) will be refunded immediately at 100%. We only refund bookings for the course, we do not refund the cost of travel. We recommend that you book travel insurance.

If I attend a retreat, can I bring a non-participating partner/friend?

No, people who do not participate in the course will not be able to attend the lessons

 

If I am accompanied by my family/children/husband, what activities can I do in the area?

Within a 5-minute walk we have many shops of all kinds, several bars (also open until 23.00), rides and park for small children, supermarkets. You can also book yoga classes, facials and massages, swimming pool, padel, five-a-side football, gym which are located in the area. Around it we also have the park of Veio with waterfalls and hiking trails

If you have a car you can visit Lake Bracciano with sports activities and beaches, Calcata (15min), Trevignano (20min), Formello (5min), Campagnano (10min), Roma nord 15 min

Do I need to have embroidery experience to participate in the courses?

No. Our courses are open to all levels, from beginner to advanced, our instructors are all experienced enough as teachers to be able to tailor the level of education to each student's level. If in doubt, please email us with any questions.

What should I bring with me?

Nothing, because we already have all the necessary materials

What will the meals be like during the retreat?

Meals will be mostly vegetarian and made with fresh, local ingredients. We will provide breakfasts and lunches in traditional Italian style.

We cater for dietary requirements such as vegetarian and vegan, or for food intolerances such as gluten or lactose-free, please let us know your need or intolerance at the time of booking. However, if you have a serious condition, such as celiac disease, please email us to discuss it prior to booking. We deal with dietary needs rather than preferences.

 

How many students are normally on a course?

We welcome 4-6 participants at each Art campus, unless otherwise specified.
